Later this month, Sukenban Games will release this interactive title, which is set in a dystopian world where players can act as a cyberpunk bartender. VA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender has been in development for the last several years, and will finally be released for PC, Mac and Linux on June 21.

Players of the game act as a bartenders in a small, downtown bar in a dystopian world run rampant with nanomachines infecting humans, oppressive corporations, and a law-enforcement group called the White Knights that makes sure everyone follows the rules.The player’s job, though, has nothing to do with that.

In-game, the player works a bar called VA-11 Hall-A, nicknamed “Valhalla.” The bar attracts interesting people from different walks of the dystopian life to help the player better learn about the world outside the bar.

Usually a branching story line evolves based on decisions made by the player. The development of this game, however, depends on what drinks you make for which clients. The main feature in the game is learning about daily cyberpunk life in the dystopian world without ever leaving the bar.

The looks of the game are based on mixing modern visuals old Japanese adventure games for the PC-98.

During development for the game, which was featured in the indie MEGABOOTH featured, a soundtrack and demo were released to entice players.
